Excavator Posted December 1, 2011 Share Posted December 1, 2011 I'm not having a lot of luck getting this memory up to tested speed yet. Motherboard is a GA-X79-UD7/CPU is i7-3960X. Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted December 2, 2011 Corsair Employee Share Posted December 2, 2011 I would make sure than you have the latest BIOS version then install the modules one at a time and load setup defaults and enable XMP then test them with http://www.memtest.org to be sure one is not failing. If they all pass them install all of them and load setup defaults and enable XMP then set the memory frequency to DDR1600 and see if its more stable. After posting this last night I did some more research and learned that QPI/VTT help a lot with speeding up memory. Here's the settings I came up with that ran good for a couple hours: Settings that ran good for a couple hours: BCLK 1.25 Multiplier 32 CPU Turbo Ratios all set at 37 3d Power: Phase Control exm Perf Vcore v Response Turbo Vcore LLC 60% CPU v 1.40v CPU VTT 1.205v DRAM v 1.65v That got me to CPU@4.0GHz and memory@1667MHz 9-9-9-27-1T Like I said, that ran really good lastnight but won't load this morning.
