AlienDeceptions
I have just got to know, but first I will say that I think I did my homework correctly and did not make a mistake in my decision. With that said, I still need to know. LOL I just purchased the Corsair Dominator 12 GB 1600 MHz PC3-12800 240-Pin DDR3 Memory Kit CMP12GX3M3A1600C9 from Amazon and the specs for my MOBO say's the following. """Memory features The desktop board DX58SO supports the following memory and interface: Four 240-pin Double Data Rate 3 (DDR3) SDRAM Dual Inline Memory Module (DIMM) connectors with gold-plated contacts arranged in two channels 1600+/1333/1066 MHz DDR3 SDRAM Memory Modules Support for single- and dual-channel memory interleaving Unbuffered, non-registered single- or double-sided DIMMs with a voltage rating of 1.65V or less 16 GB maximum total system memory (with 2 Gb memory technology). Minimum total system memory: 1 GB using 512 MB x16 module Non-ECC DIMMs Serial Presence Detect XMP version 1.2 performance profile support is required for memory speeds above 1333 MHz or use of manual adjustments""" Is the Corsair Dominator 12 GB 1600 MHz PC3-12800 240-Pin DDR3 Memory Kit going to work for me? I am not interested in overclocking so much, but I am hoping that this is a step up from 6 GB @ 1080 MHz. Can someone comfort my doubt please. Thank you. I will have this kit this Wednesday.
