chiptouz
Hello, I do not see these modules listed on the compatability page for the motherboard listed above. Can you tell me if they will work ok? CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMZ8GX3M2A1600C8 I plan on overclocking to 4.5ghz. Thank you. Wired
That's a socket 1155 motherboard meant for SandyBridge CPUs, and that memory's meant for SandyBridge CPUs, so yes, they should be compatible.
slipperyslope
Hi Chip and Wired: Chip: How did that build work our for you? I am thinking of doing a similar build but with CORSAIR Vengeance 16GB (4 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMZ16GX3M4A1600C9 Wired: Asrock doesn't list these 4gb modules on their compatability list for their z68 extreme 4 (see http://www.asrock.com/mb/memory.asp?Model=Z68%20Pro3). Am I safe using these corsair modules with this board? thanks for your help, slippery
