Skullmurphy
I purchased a Corsair 16gb mini from Dell and when I try to backup my files and settings I get a message that the tape is full insert another one. It only backed up 4.2gb out of 5.8gb. When I click on properties it shows that I still have 11gb left on the drive. Please help
Wired
Have you tried to copy files manually to it? Have you rebooted and tried again?
Skullmurphy
Hello wired, Yes I tried that , it does work for the files that I want to backup, but when I do the automatic backup it stops at a certian point and says that the disk is full. I reformatted it and made sure that it had all of the space available which it did. but in automatic mode it does not work

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 26, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 26, 2010 The software you are using to do the back up is not really made for USB drives is one issue next is if it is trying to may one large file you are hitting the file limitation of FAT32 so that is normal. I would use different software for the backup and try and format the drive to NTFS you may have better luck with that software if it will see NTFS.
