marcosscriven
Hi I would like to know if the CM3X8GSDKIT1066 2x4GB kit is compatible with my 2.66 GHz core i7 Macbook Pro please? Your memory tool only mentions Core 2 Macbooks. So far as I understand it, the i5/i7 CPUs use DMI, so I thought it best to check.

marcosscriven
Come on Corsair, where's that customer service? I asked this question four days ago now. ******** have confirmed this one is compatible: Why can't you confirm yours? I'm going to have to assume your module isn't compatible and go with ******** if I don't hear back soon. Thanks Marcos Bit lame blanking out the ******** name
Wired
The forum filter is there for a reason and is covered in the rules which you were directed to upon creating a post.
marcosscriven
Depressing that I get a virtually instant response regarding rules, but that Corsair don't seem that interested in helping me confirm one of their products is compatible. Like I say, the checker they provide does not include i5/i7 CPUs, which use a different, on chip, memory interface. Marcos
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 19, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 19, 2010 I am sorry for the late reply, if the system you have is not listed in the memory configurator I am sorry but I would suggest using memory that was suggested from the system manufacturer. Apples can be picky at best with memory, but we would need to know the complete system model number to answer that question.
