sToRmInG
Hi @ all I own an Acer Aspire 5930G notebook in which there are 2x2GB PC-5300 DDR2 Ram. Since Acer says the limit is 4GB Ram and Everest (Lavalys) says with the PM45 you can also run 8GB I'm searching for Ram which fits. I've also seen that no one else tried it before. Now I've found a Corsair Ram Kit (VS8GSDSKIT800D2) which would fit my needs. The question is this: Are the connectors on the motherboard the same as the pins of this kit or is Acer such a lame company which build their own non standard connectors? This is not a question about if my system will work with the 8GB. I only need informations about the connection possibility. Thanks in advance! Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted August 10, 2010 Corsair Employee Share Posted August 10, 2010 If Acer says the limit is 4GB we cannot guarantee that those modules will work in that machine. If it uses a standard DDR2 So-Dimm then those modules would match up however again we cannot guarantee they would work.
