N0FEAR
Is the TR3X6G1333C7 (XMS3 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666)) compatible with ASRock X58 Extreme http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.asp?Model=X58%20Extreme&s=1366 ? I already ordered them both via a friend in the US and now I'm very worried if the RAM doesn't work with the mobo, as its not listed in the mobo's RAM compatibility list here -> http://www.asrock.com/mb/memory/X58%20Extreme.pdf or on the Corsair's RAM compatibility list page here -> http://www.corsair.com/configurator/memory_results.aspx?id=1048605 If it (hopefully) does work with it then are there any specific settings I need to make in the BIOS for this RAM to work on its advertised speeds? As I've read on a few forums that some RAMS don't work on their advertised speeds by default without making some specific setting changes in the bios. Thanks alot for all your help. Wired
That board isn't in the configurator at all. Should be compatible if it supports memory at that speed / timing / voltage. All you should have to do is to enable XMP in the BIOS and that's it.
N0FEAR
Thanks for the reply.. I'm hoping that it works with the mobo.. Still I'd also like to hear from RAM GUY about this soon.
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted October 16, 2009 Corsair Employee Share Posted October 16, 2009 I have not seen the ASROCK MB and in the past they have showed a lack of support for more aggressive modules. However, the Chipset and CPU should support these modules, if you have any problems though I would suggest testing with a different MB maker to be sure.
