cwbills
Newb to detailed BIOS settings, but I am building with the above setup and I am going to use Windows 7 (64-bit) for the OS. I'd like to get the i7-920 up to around 3.8 GHz and I'd like to try to get the RAM up to 1600 MHz (Voltage b/w 1.6 and 1.7V). Any specific BIOS settings to follow? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 21, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 21, 2009 I doubt they will reach much above the rated speed but you are welcome to try what ever you like. However, I am sorry but I am only allowed to provide the tested settings for the modules anything above or bellow that would be up to you and Trail and error. cwbills
What are the settings to get it to run at 1333MHz? I've read that is auto defaults to a lower frequency.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 24, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 24, 2009 You can get the tested settings from the link in my signature. But the timings should be Cas 9-9-9-24 at 1.7 Volts 2T Command Rate.

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 25, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 25, 2009 And I would suggest getting the Bios Optimization Guide at http://www.rojakpot.com it is a great read and explains a lot about all of the BIOS settings not only memory.
