vitor
Hi, I have 4 sticks of 1gb (Dominator 8500C5D) and I would like to know what is the correct voltage to set since I've got one set that shows 2.1V in EPP and another set that shows 2.2V (different versions of sets...). All 4 sticks are working at 1066mhz and 5-5-5-15 2T, I didn't run memtest yet, but the voltage is set to auto (mobo sets it around 2.1V). Thanks, Vitor. Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted February 14, 2008 Corsair Employee Share Posted February 14, 2008 The memory Voltage would need to be set manually to 2.1 Volts and if its stable I would leave it alone. But with 4 modules DDR800 would be suggested.
vitor
OK, but why do you suggest setting it at 800mhz? Should I leave it at 800mhz even if it passes the memory test successfully? Thanks, Vitor. memory test at 1066mhz...
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted February 14, 2008 Corsair Employee Share Posted February 14, 2008 If you have any trouble with the memory at 1066MHz at 2.1 volts then you may want to back down the frequency to DDR800. If its stable at 1066 then leave it there!

Wired
For diags, but a lot of systems can't handle running 4 sticks @ full speed.
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted March 4, 2008 Corsair Employee Share Posted March 4, 2008 If you want to run 4 modules at their rated speed I would suggest using one of our QuadX Kits. But honestly running 4 modules on any system is hit and miss I would suggest just using a Twin2x4096 kit of modules they will for sure run with no problems at their rated speed.
