AgentXkill
Ok so i overclocked my computer using this guide http://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=503808 and afterwards my computer started to freeze every ten minutes or so. I changed the ram to a 512 stick i has lying around and it stopped freezing, so ive come to the conclusion its the ram. I then put my 2x Corsair 2CMX2 -6400 ram i had back in and it continues to freeze. I put one of the Corsair sticks in and it goes longer, but still freezes. Any insight on how to fix this would be great!!! I cant run memtest because it freezes in that also, is there a way i can like change the timings of the ram to make it work again. Everything is at default.
Wired
Try resetting the BIOS, and then setting the appropriate timing / voltage settings.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 14, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 14, 2006 Please make sure that you have the latest bios and then load setup defaults and set the Dim Voltage to 2.1 volts and then set the timings manually to the tested settings for the specific module you have, and then test the module/modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure. In addition, with this MB you have to disable legacy USB in the bios when running any memory test.
