Phil1976
Hi Ram Guy, my last hope i put on you. I bought some new parts for a new computer: Mainbord Asus A8N-E for sockel 939 with Athlon 64 3800+ X2 with a GeForce eVGA 7800GTX fitted with Corsair Memory. This is VS2GBKIT400C3. So two modules VS1GB400C3 The computer runs perfectly with my old 1 GB PC333 Infinion Ram. But with the corsair ram there is no chance. newest bios version is installed. I want the ram: 1) one dimm to run at all 2) to run both in dual channel mode I have no interest in overclocking. This is my configuration in bios: Dram Configuration ------------------ Timing Mode: Manual Memclock index value (Mhz): 400Mhz (also 333) CAS# latency (Tcl): 3 Min RAS# active time (Tras): 8T RAS# to CAS# delay (Trcd): 3T (also 4T) Row precharge Time (Trp): 3T (also 4T) Row cycle time (Trc): 9T Row refresh cyc time (Trfc): 10T Read-to-Write time (Trwt): 4T Write Recovery time (Twr): 2T 1T/2T Memory Timing: 2T S/W DRAM Over 4G Remapping: Enabled JumperFree Configuration ------------------------ Overclock Profile: Auto Overclock Options: Disabled N.O.S. Option: Disabled CPU Frequency: 200.0 PCI Express Clock: 100 Mhz DDR Voltage: Auto (or 2.7+) CPU Multiplier: Auto CPU Voltage: Auto Even if i take DDR Voltage to 2.7V, it did not run. The pc does runs but is it not possible to install anything (p.e. Win XP) on the harddisk. Now i have tested every bios combination for the RAM with the 1.65 Memtest86 but i have always red failure messages. At my computershop the test was fine an there are no failure messages with the RAM Please can you help me. If any information is essential for you, please do not hesitate to contact me. Best regards Phil (sorry for my bad english)
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted June 13, 2006 Corsair Employee Share Posted June 13, 2006 Please load setup/optimized defaults and then set the Dim Voltage to 2.7X volts (+.2 Volts W/Giga-Byte) and then leave the timings set to "BY SPD" and then test the module/'s one at a time with http://www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure. You cannot mix these modules if that is what you are trying to do.

Wired
They passed in the shop, but not in your PC? That would lead to the conclusion that it's your PC. May want to have the shop test your CPU.
