ehsu_01
I bought 2 x 1GB(VS1GB400C3) memory sticks on May, 2005. Around DEc. 2005, one of the memory stick failed on test #7 of memtest86+. I got the RMA and got replacement last week. However, the new problem shown up. The new replacement stick (4094-0547034-0-xxxxxx) looks different with my old one(780-0520138-0-yyyyyy) although they are all VS1GB400C3. I tested both sticks with memtest86+ separately. They both works fine. But if I used two sticks together, I will get lots of blue screens.. (several times for one night). The strange thing is: if I used either one, it was OK. By the way, I am sure the dimm slots are ok. And my machine is OK since I tested it with 2x1GB Kingstone ram without any issue. Are these two sticks of ram somehow in-compatible(their SN looks so different and the chips layout are different either) if they will use together?
