Jay0107
Hi Ram Guy, I have two sticks of VS512MB400 on my newly built ASRock 939Dual-SATA2 (AMD Athlon 64 3200+) system. During burn-in, I ran Memtest86+ (v1.65) and got errors on one of the sticks during Test 6. Would like to request an RMA on this stick for replacement. Thanks in advance Jay
Wired
What settings did you use? How many errors?
Jay0107
Hi, Thanks for the quick reply. I've attached a screen shot (literally) of Memtest for your review. Thanks again for the assist. Jay
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted January 2, 2006 Corsair Employee Share Posted January 2, 2006 Errors in test 5,6,7 or 8 might suggest some other problem. I would test the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org and set the memory voltage to 2.7 Volts.
Jay0107
Hi, I changed the BIOS' DRAM Voltage setting from AUTO to NORMAL (it doesn't specify voltage amounts) and re-ran the Memtest utility. Unfortunately, I'm still getting errors on test 6 (see attached screenshot). All tests have been done with only the suspect RAM module in the system. Thanks in advance for the assist Jay
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted January 3, 2006 Corsair Employee Share Posted January 3, 2006 I would try setting the voltage to high ot the max setting. and if you can test the modules one at a time in another system that migt help to make sure.
