HansDorr
This is the error message I get consistently. Error Signature BCCode: 100000ea BCP1: 87FEF888 BCP2: 87FFB6D0 BCP3: BACDFCB4 BCP4: 00000001 OSVer: 5_1_2600 SP:2_0 Product: 768_1 Error Contents C:\DOCUME~1\Presley\LOCALS~1\TEMP\WERd0b2.dir00\Mini112905-01.dmp C:\DOCUME~1\Presley\LOCALS~1\TEMP\WERd0b2.dir00\sysdata.xml I'm not sure if this is a memory dump or not but it sure looks like one to me. These are my system specs: Antec Sonata II case Enermax EG701AX-VE 600w SLI power supply Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe True Duel PCI Express x16 motherboard AMD Athlon 64 3800+/2.4 GHz 90nm, Venice core processor Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 CPU Cooler Corsair 1024mb CMX512-3200C2 TwinX XMS Xtreme and 1024mb Corsair VS512MB400 Value memory 2 Western Digital Raptor 74 GB, 10000 RPM Hard Drives in Raid-0 1 BFG GeForce 7800 GTX OC PCI-E video card Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme sound card Samsung CDW/DVD SH-M522C Toshiba CD/DVDW SD-R5372 Mitsumi Floppy drive D359M3 Logitech MX-518 Optical Gaming Mouse Saitek Eclipse TrueVu key illumination keyboard Dell 2405FPW 24" wide aspect monitor @1900 X 1200 resolution Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 2 I've noticed that the memory timings are different for the Xtreme and the Value ram using Everest Home. Corsair 1024mb CMX512-3200C2: @ 200 MHz 3.0-3-3-8 (CL-RCD-RP-RAS), @ 166 MHz 2.5-3-3-7 (CL-RCD-RP-RAS), @ 133 MHz 2.0-2-2-6 (CL-RCD-RP-RAS) Corsair 1024mb VS512MB400 Value: @ 200 MHz 2.5-3-3-8(CL-RCD-RP-RAS) Could this be causing this problem? I am at a total loss. I do not get these errors doing anything else on my machine but WoW. I will get an occasional freeze in Halflife 2 or F.E.A.R. but not any where near as often. I am lucky to be able to play WoW for more than 5 minutes before the screen freezes, no mouse, looping music in the background. The screen then turns black and partially minimizes. I can either reboot or the computer will reboot itself with this error message. Any help you can offer will be greatly appreciated. All the Best! Wired
It's never recommended to mix memory of different part #s. Try these timings in your BIOS if you're going to try all 4 at the same time: Memory speed: 166 Mhz CAS Latency (tCL): 3 RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 4 Row Precharge (tRP): 4 Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 8 Memory Voltage: 2.75 Volts All other settings to defaults. HansDorr
Thank you for your reply and help. I was wondering about that earlier and when you said to not mix memory of different part #s. It hit me like a ton of bricks. What a dork! Well, what I did was remove the Corsair 1024mb VS512MB400 Value ram. And guess what, It still freezes up like nobody's business! Played for 2 minutes and almost 6 minutes. So I'm convinced that it's Blizzards programing at this point. Here is a link to a thread about the hard lock ups: http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.aspx?fn=wow-tech-support&t=558757&p=1&tmp=1#post558757 Oh well, my subscription runs out on the 10th so it looks like I'll be out unless they come up with a fix by then. Thanks for your help and advise. I'm going to order 1024mb of the Corsair 1024mb CMX512-3200C2 so I'm all set up correctly. All the Best! Wired
Hold up there. If you want to run 4 sticks, even if they are the same part #, make sure they're the same version # as well.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 2, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 2, 2005 You should not mix these modules just use our XMS modules or our Value Select but not at the same time, and please go to bios setup and load setup defaults and then set the memory voltage to 2.7 Volts and test them with http://www.memtest.org to be sure.
