tc0566 Posted November 22, 2005 Share Posted November 22, 2005 Was working fine untill today..turned on computer booted to windows and imediately it shut down..rebooted windows error report showed bad ram module and 1 minute later shut itself off .After that installed old corsair 512mb's in it and no more problems.Module was purchased at Newegg.com on 06/13/2005. tc0566 Posted November 22, 2005 Author Share Posted November 22, 2005 I ran memtest at 40% of first pass had 233472 errors not much point in going any further and definately confirms the module is bad ..also memtest showed the ecc to be off ..it is set on at master ecc in bios this module is bad and I need a response so I can get it RMA'ed. First, Corsair's closed for the day. They won't respond till tomorrow. Also, CMX1024RE is REGISTERED ECC memory, neither is supported according to their website. The memory configurator linked to from their site only shows unregistered, non-ecc memory from that manufacturer, and the Corsair compatiblity site shows the same thing (http://compatible.corsairmemory.com).
