niveks Posted November 17, 2005 Share Posted November 17, 2005 I have 1 pair of 1 gbyte twinx matched memory pair. One of the chips have gone bad. I ran memtest to determine which chip it was. The other chip works fine. The info on the bad chip is as follows. CMX512-3200C2PT XMS3202v5.1 0451042-5 XMS3200 512MB 400MHZ CL2 I have tried the chips in 3 computers now and every computer crashes shortly after booting to windows XP. Sometimes before that. When I ran memtest. There were multiple errors on the bad chip in all test areas. When I pull the bad chip and just run the good one everything works fine and no errors are reported in memtest.
