milkmanx
I am using this PSU (RM1200x) outside of a motherboard running bitcoin miners. It is working fine as is but I would like to be able to run the fan on the unit stand alone all the time. I have the connector jumpered out to run without a motherboard but the fan does not come on. As I understand it is motherboard controlled but dont have one attached to do this. is there another way to just run the fan on the unit, maybe a combination of more jumpers or external trick device? Thanks in advance.
LeDoyen
The fan is not controlled by the motherboard but by the PSU. if it runs hot enough to need cooling, it will start the fan. So basically you don't have to do anything
muvo
To simplify it. The power supplies that allow you to control the fan have an "I" in the name, like the axi or hxi. These then have icue support.
