Aquiring a Full Standard/Stock Cable Set for Old (Legacy) Corsair AX860 PSU

Hi folks.

I wonder if someone can point me in the right direction on how to aquire the right full standard/stock cable set for an old/legacy Corsair AX860 PSU.

I have run a search for "corsair ax860 cable set" on both Google and EBay, but came up with limited results.

So, instead, I did a manual navigation as follows:

https://www.corsair.com/uk/en (I'm in the UK) >  PC Components > Accessories > Power Supply Cables & Parts

I found what might be a suitable cable set, here:  https://www.corsair.com/uk/en/p/pc-components-accessories/cp-8920200/stock-type-4-cable-kit-cp-8920200

It's a "Type 4 " kit though.

I have read some posts indicating that a Type 4 kit, as standard (i.e., without modifications) is not suitable for an older Corsair AX860 PSU, and that a Type 3 kit is the correct one.  A thread indicating this is here.

I've not been able to find a Type 3 kit sadly.

I'd be very grateful if anyone has any feedback or ideas on how to get a Type 3 kit.

If I can't get one, I suppose I will have to consign this old PSU to the recycling centre, which would be a shame.

Many thanks for reading this post, and have a good day folks.

you can get a full type 4 kit, and see if you can find a type 3 motherboard 24 pin cable, as that's the only difference between the two types.

That may be easier to do it this way as type 3 is now pretty old.
