starfyre1 Posted February 4, 2024 Posted February 4, 2024 Everything is in the title... The reason for the question is that asus rog strix doesn't list the hx1000i as compatible but does list the AX1600I & RM1000e-1000W I would rather use the hx1000i if it will work Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
LeDoyen Posted February 4, 2024 Posted February 4, 2024 They publish a list of compatible power supplies? that's a tad silly 🙂 every single ATX power supply in the world is compatible with the motherboard. of course the HXi will work with it. all it connects to is the CPU power and the large 24 pin connector, all standard. 1
starfyre1 Posted February 4, 2024 Author Posted February 4, 2024 Thanks... I figure that they are just listing the items that they have tested with it... That said, they even have a list of peripheral's (fans, heatsinks, keyboard, mouse, etc.) that are acceptable...
LeDoyen Posted February 4, 2024 Posted February 4, 2024 it's a bit like the QVL memory list, it's only the sticks they happen to have validated internally to work with this board. Doesn't mean the sticks not on the list will not work.
muvo Posted February 4, 2024 Posted February 4, 2024 I'll take a look at my computer. There, an hx1000i (ver. 2023) works together with a strix z790-E gaming motherboard without any problems.😉
