HS35 mic not working!!

My pc does not detect my HS35, I tried with ps4 and mobile phone and the microphone works, instead with pc no. what should I do?

on windows you have to select manually in the audio parameters what audio-in device has to be used. it's possible it is not set to your motherboard sound device.

Also make sure you use the proper cable depending on what socket your case has, if it's a headset combo plug or separate headphone/mic plugs obviously.

There should be an adapter cable in the package

My pc has an one unique jack input, but the headset is not recognized by the os

it won't be "recognized" as it's an analog headset. all you will see is the motherboard stereo output, and microphone input, but no Corsair device

I have a laptop, can that be the problem?

no, laptops work just the same way. you have to still go to the windows audio parameters and tell it what input device to use, and maybe adjust levels, in case the mic volume is set too low.

When you plug the headset, you should see some "external microphone" pop up in the list :

In the audio settings I only see Realtek devices. Should I unlock any setting to see all the devices?

it is realtek device ! ^^

the headset is not USB, it's an analog headset. It is basicaly just two analog speakers and an analog microphone. it has no electronics and does not appear in windows as a Corsair device since it's not an USB headset (which are entirely separate, discrete sound devices).

your headset is the realtek speakers, and the realtek microphone input of the laptop.

I have two questions:

why does my audio sound higher when I'm close  to the PC and lower when I move away?

Why does my audio sound the same if I mute or disconnect the headphone microphone?
