Fadet0blak
I am having trouble with using two sticks of CMX512-3200C2PT. My system specs: AMD64 3400+ CPU - Socket 754 AOpen AK86-L Mobo 350 watt PS Radeon X800 SE Video Card When I have the two sticks in my system it will just make the 1 second beeping noise over and over, and obviously not boot. I've also tried these two sticks in another system: AMD64 3700+ CPU - Socket 939 Foxconn NF4UK8AA Mobo Radeon X800 PRO 400 Watt PS It also makes the same exact noise and doesn't boot. Are these sticks incompatible when you try to run them together or what? The sticks both work fine by themselves. I really don't know what to do. If this helps, I also have a pair of 256MB Kingston Value Ram sticks and they work fine together in either system. I did add another stick of 256 MB and it worked fine for a total of 768 MB. Please tell me what is wrong with my system or memory. Thanks.

Fadet0blak
I think the "v" # on one of them is 1.5 and the other is 4.2 . I'm guessing they have to be the same for them to actually work together?
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted May 3, 2005 Corsair Employee Share Posted May 3, 2005 Yes, with AMD64 if you use more than one module all modules would need to be identical or it may not post.
