Niklasmagnus
Hi, I’m builder a diy av rack and need cooling and would like to add temp sensors for smarter cooling. Would it be possible to run the C-Pro on external power supply and connect to a laptop for setting up the curves? And when setup is done unplug the laptop and have the C-Pro control fans based on the temp sensors according to my curves?
Corsair Employee Corsair StormShadow Posted January 22, 2020 Corsair Employee Share Posted January 22, 2020 That's not going to work. The CPRO need iCUE running to regulate those fans speed.

Zotty
Wait.. that will work as long as you are using the Sensors plugged into the CoPro.. those are the only user set temp sources the CoPro will revert back to when iCUE isnt running. you would also have to convert the 9pin usb header cable from the copro Edited January 26, 2020 by Zotty
DevBiker
Wait.. that will work as long as you are using the Sensors plugged into the CoPro.. those are the only user set temp sources the CoPro will revert back to when iCUE isnt running. you would also have to convert the 9pin usb header cable from the copro To expand on this, IF the fan curves are based on the internal temp sensors on the Commander Pro (it has 4 of them) AND the sensor is available (e.g. connected), THEN the Commander Pro will use the last fan curve based on that sensor. So it is entirely possible to have the CoPro run your fan curves without iCUE running as long as they are based on a temp sensor and that temp sensor is connected.
