Daemonfey
I am looking into buying the Corsair Obsidian 1000D and using the E-atx slot for a dual cpu server motherboard while using the mini itx for building a gaming computer out of it. I have built my own gaming computers for years so that is not the issue I was just wondering if anyone had some advice for doing something like this. I am going to be using the server for a homelab environment to get ready for my LPIC2 and MCSE certifications as well as to get more experience building my own networks and running vulnerability scanners, patching, game servers, etc etc
DevBiker
Well ... you can do a dual CPU but I doubt that you actually need it. Seriously ... get a Threadripper and run your environment on VMs. No real need for multiple CPUs unless it's just for the bragging rights. From there, liquid cool ... gutcheck
It will fit but as Dev says, Threadripper all the way save some $$$. (and spend it on RGB)
