reinhard
yo ramguy, i have a problem with my twinx3200XL, in every review i have read, they hit the 250fsb@2,5-3-3-7. On the moment i can't even hit the 230fsb stable, i returned my fsb to 205 on 2-2-2-5 mem voltage@2,85v. memtest gave me an error within 5min  . is this a legal reason to rma my twinx 3200xlpt? this ram is overclockers ram, richt? if iam not able to hit the 230fsb@2,5-3-3-7 stable, do i have al legal reason to rma it then? thnx in advance
Wired
Memory is warrantied @ 200 Mhz at 2-2-2-5 timings. If they do that, then they're running fine. For guaranteed 250 speeds, you'll need to get PC4000 memory. Try 3-4-4-8 and then see ho high they'll go.
reinhard
if i understood you well, this memory is guaranteed on 200fsb and if you are lucky it will hit the 240/250fsb? and an rma is only legal if the ram don't want to run at 200fsb? reinhard
for how long do i have to run memtest and do i have to take the dos or windows version?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 24, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 24, 2005 Memtest will run in Unix, the utility you down load will for the O.S. you are using when you make the Disk weather its a floppy or CD. First you would download the memtest utility to your HDD, then using http://www.winzip.com extract it to the same directory. Please then get a floppy and do a fresh full format on it, and if there are any bad sectors just throw it away and get a new one. The click on the install.bat file in the directory where you downloaded and extracted the files and follow the on screen prompts.
