fluffkitten
I bought one of the CMX512R-3200C2PT sticks for my computer when I built it originally and it works great. I recently bought another stick (same product number) and after I installed it, my system failed to boot. I tried both sticks the first slot seperately, and by themselves they work fine. But any other combination in the slots, and the system will not boot. Any suggestions?
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted February 18, 2005 Corsair Employee Share Posted February 18, 2005 This module is a registered module and would not be compatible with this MB. Please see if the reseller will let you swap it for the same part# but with no "R" or "RE" in the part#.
fluffkitten
If it wasn't compatible, wouldn't it not work at all, even by itself? Just want to make sure that that is the problem because it would be a BIG hassle to send these back.
Wired
Definitely incompatible. For some reason, some boards that use non-registered memory will work sometimes with one stick.
