XtremeB
I have had my 2 sticks of CMX512-3200C2 RAM for about a year now and just recently one of them has caused massive problems with my computer. When I put the stick that I think is defective back on the motherboad my computer with run all of the start up tests then as soon as it starts to get to the Windows loading screen it will freeze up. When I remove the stick the computer will run normal and I will not have any problems. Help is very appreciated. My specs. Wired
What is the revision of each stick? Are they a TwinX pack? How To Read the Memory Label Test each stick in the same slot using memtest.
XtremeB
The version on the stick is v1.2 and it is part of the TwinX pack. I have tried putting the stick of memory in the same slot as the other but the computer still locks up and has problems. I haven't had a chance to do memtest yet but when I get time I'll do that. Thanks for the help.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 19, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 19, 2005 I would also try and set the Dim over voltage control to +.2 Volts and see if that helps. However, if you do indeed find the module is failing http://www.memtest.org by it self. Then let’s get both modules replaced so they match. Please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it!
