Jakelshark
my current pc has a gig of 400 DDR ram installed, and I would like to bump up the power and I happen to have a gig of 266 DDR lieing around....if I install both into the correst ram slots, would I get a performance increase? I wasnt sure because of the differences in clock speed... And if you care to look at my motherboard http://developer.intel.com/design/motherbd/bz/index.htm 266 ram works in the machine [even though Intel says it wolnt], 400 ram works in the machine...I just want to know if I use both if I will get a performance increase
Wired
It'll go down to 266 Mhz speeds, so I'd say it'll decrease.
