joshtheowl
Hello everyone. I am new to building PCs so please bear with me. I have just put together a new Intel 775 system. I am using a DFI Lanparty 915P motherboard and 2 sticks of 256MB Corsair PC3200C2PT DDR ram. I got them together in the twin-x pack. The ram sticks say XMS3202v3.1 on them. The problem I am having is that my motherboard doesnt seem to read them by SPD correctly. For example they are being read as Cas 3. Should I set the timings manually and if so what values do I use? Thanks!

Wired
Dude, it's the weekend, Ram Guy chills on the weekends :) CAS Latency: 2T RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 3T Row Precharge (tRP): 3T Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 6T Voltage: 2.75 or 2.8 (warrantied up to 2.9 volts, but not over)
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 22, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 22, 2004 That is correct joshtheowl, all modules that end with a C2 designation will have their SPD set the JEDEC defined values for the IC we use to make that specific module. You just need to set the timings manually as Wired suggested!
