thebear
TheBear, have you had a chance to monitor HDD temps in your configuration? Just curious how they are doing. Slick and clean idea, though. Hi, thanks. Temperature are ok for me, both disks are old samsung F1 1TB 64mb 7200 sata2. http://i.imgur.com/Z9uYeav.jpg
rtrski
Great builds in this thread. Am planning a build myself, hope to try something special for it. BTW, everyone puts such great effort into cabling and lighting and liquid routes on interior...but then leaves black plastic DVD/BD drive faces visible on front....are there any 'beauty options' that match the case finish? Purchase a slotload maybe and cut a slot into the existing fascia cover??

3DJFletcher
Ello, that's really really nice dude! Can i ask what is the fan array under the gfx card? Is that a custom bracket or an off the shelf part. I ask because i have a rig with 2 gfx cards in sli that both the cards a re a big saggy on the slot and a brace like that i could sure them up with and add fans to sounds PERFECT. Kovoet
It's the first time I've attempted to get a reasonably neat build with lighting and coloured cabling etc. The pics aren't fantastic from my phone but they'll do for now. The GPU LED backplates were made for me from this guy. Originally found the backplate on eBay then got this link to his artisan store http://www.overclock.net/t/1501480/gpu-cool-the-artisan-store-new-uni-mount-coming-soon http://i417.photobucket.com/albums/pp252/MadatMe2/My%20PC/Corsair%20Forums%20Pics/178291fd-4089-4ea0-aa7f-46fe793c2877_zps3b872c58.jpghttp://i417.photobucket.com/albums/pp252/MadatMe2/My%20PC/Corsair%20Forums%20Pics/IMG_20140902_225234_zps4bdd90ac.jpg http://i417.photobucket.com/albums/pp252/MadatMe2/My%20PC/Corsair%20Forums%20Pics/IMG_20140902_225151_zpsd77cee33.jpghttp://i417.photobucket.com/albums/pp252/MadatMe2/My%20PC/Corsair%20Forums%20Pics/IMG_20140806_195719_zpsa2c9c271.jpg And a little closer look at the bottom plate that I created. Need to get an led strip to light up the logo from above or work out a way to light it up from underneath so that it glows. http://i417.photobucket.com/albums/pp252/MadatMe2/My%20PC/Corsair%20Forums%20Pics/11269e9c-29c4-473b-b18a-8862550d2516_zpsca6281b1.jpg Build: Corsair AIR 540 Black Corsair AX1200i Corsair H100i AMD FX8350 4GHZ 8 core Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 AMD Radeon Gamer Series 16GB 2400MHz Gigabyte AMD HD7970 Windforce 3GB Gigabyte AMD R9 280X OC Windforce 3GB 2 x GPU-COOL LED backplate Samsung SSD 840 series 500GB Hitatchi 2.5" SATA2 160GB NZXT Hue NZXT Sentry Mix 2 fan controller 5 x Enermax Cluster Advance 120mm White LED fan 1 x Enermax Cluster 140mm White LED fan 3 x Fractal Design 50mm fan Samsung External Blu-Ray writer 2 x Samsung SyncMaster 2492HS monitor Razer Lycosa keyboard Razer Lachesis mouse Roccat Kave 5.1 headset Microsoft XBOX360 gamepad Logitech Driving Force GT steering wheel and pedals Looks so much better with the bottom closed off. JorjP
Hello people.... Since its my 1st post here I thought id share my build progress.... Bought a second hand brutally treated Air 540... Bent some acrylic and assembled it in 1 day just to see how things fit and take some measurements for the main project... Here is its state as it was 1 month ago... just temporary setup http://i882.photobucket.com/albums/ac21/jorjpcreations/100_0648_zps1shyqm92.jpg http://i882.photobucket.com/albums/ac21/jorjpcreations/c8126d80b63a7898ca30478735721599_zpslxo1d0yd.jpg But then decided to take it a bit further and customize it as much as i possibly could.... Work log here..... http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=137795 I hope you people like it..
alcurt68
Sporting the H240X. These things finally came back in stock recently. First time running LED lighting. Used HIT LIGHTS kit. Wired it into old molex plug via a inline fuse. No external power needed. :) Handy on and off switch to boot. Finishing up paintwork on the mesh this weekend. Then its off to find a set of 970's for water loop. Edited March 8, 2015 by alcurt68

Carolyn
This is my first mid-sized computer... ever and only my second build -- the first build was in a Thermaltake. It's pretty basic, nothing to oooh and ahh over but I'm fairly happy with it.

Carolyn
Hi All, Not a 540 but a 600t, while on the subject will my MB fit inside a 540? Thanks Paul If you're planning on using the ASUS x99 deluxe (the board you've listed), it's an ATX form factor and that's one of the form factors supported by the case according to the list supplied by Corsair. Sooo, it'll fit. But, asking a bunch of people on a forum isn't exactly the best way to find out if your mobo will fit in a case. Better to check the specs on your mobo to find out it's form factor (i.e. check your manual or mfg. website) and compare it to the supported form factors for the case (on case mfg. website). While people try to be helpful on forums, they can give you bad info and you can't exactly complain about spending money on the say so of billybobsmackdown on computer geniuses forum... not without getting laughed at anyway. :)

PDG888
After seeing all the fantastic and exceptional builds using this case, I decided to bite the bullet and get one. wearentgh0sts
Hope I'm not necroposting too hard here. Saw this thread said "hey I have one of those" and here I am. My modest 1080p rig. Have new things on the way including 4x4 dominator platinum, ax860i, and purple sp120's. Just recently moved out of my c70 Vengeance case in Arctic white and I've got to say, I think I've found my permanent home (for now) My package with $700 worth of PC parts should be here Wednesday morning! Will update then.

Carolyn
Did a few minor mods (thanks to the guys here on the Corsair forum who answered my questions) and built my first custom cooling loop. Was still getting the air out of the system when these shots were taken.

MatheusMS
Hi guys, i dont have any pic (but will post), but i have a question. I have a small air compressor and a pistol (use then to paint some BAJA cars that we make in university), so i thought tha might be a good idea paint my Air 540. But PU automotive really sticks in the plastic part of the case? This paint have a good finish? My idea is paint the interior with orange ( a vivid one) and the exterior with matte black, and the fan grills with orange to. Thx guys
