awvalenti
Default keyboard polling rate is 1000Hz. Is there any advantage in reducing it, like energy saving? And does that iCUE configuration affect hardware profiles, or is it only effective while iCUE is running?
hastegag
I think your energy savings would be super negligible, so much so that it would be hard to test. I gather that high frequency updating can cause issues in rare circumstances, like in the Bios or in setups where polling of the keyboard or modifier keys is very frequent. Other than my experience in the bios, I have not encountered these issues, but I have only used Corsair input devices on maybe 5 or 6 machines, most of which were reasonably modern. I feel its a safety net if things dont go right, cant hurt to turn it down a click if you run into some issues. and i think its agnostic of icue, like a hardware implementation right at the input or the main logic Edited July 23, 2020 by hastegag answered the other question
