bubba1
I'm planning on pulling the trigger on the H50 this weekend, I thought there were only 2 versions, the original and the one at newegg (CORSAIR Cooling Hydro Series CWCH50-1), but then I see this -> (Corsair Hydro Series H50 High Performance CPU Cooler CWCH50-1 Rev 3 at Frozencpu) ...are they the same, or is Frozencpus' a newer version than the eggs'?? Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted April 29, 2010 Corsair Employee Share Posted April 29, 2010 It looks like Rev 3 is frozen CPU's way of giving you different fan options with the H50. The unit that they are converting to what they call rev 3 is the same CWCH50-1 from Newegg and elsewhere.
bubba1
I just got off the phone with Frozencpu, first he said that 'Rev3' is at the end of the 'SKU'...then he said, 'no, 'Rev3' was the number on the box'....then he corrected himself, and said that 'it's not actually on the H50 box'....but on the other box....WTF
Yellowbeard
As far as "revisions", Corsair has not revised the cooler since it's release. We have added to the mounting options but, the cooler itself is not changed. CWCH50-1 contains the most recent mounting hardware for both new AMD and Intel rigs. bubba1
Thanks RAM GUY and Yellowbeard... One other question, I saw on a web site that the CH50 has a 1-year warranty, I assume that is a typo, and it's a 2-year warranty, correct?
