Corsair SP2500, really quiet after loud pop - Out of Warranty

Hey all,

After returning from holiday, I turned on each thing in my home and when I got to the speakers there was a loud pop - they work but are sound like they are on 5% volume at 90% on the control pod.

Naturally I checked to see if Corsair did repairs post warranty or service parts but sadly not the case...(?)

The speakers seem mostly fine its just this issue. It would be a shame to just bin them (not to mention the fact I can't afford to replace them).

It's hard to see, but near the centre of the power board (yellow) there is condensation or residue (can't tell what, doesn't seem to smell of much) but I can't see any blown fuses, caps, traces...

Any help?
