instead of audio it's a deafening jackhamer repetitive noise. i never had this problem in previous windows versions and ive been using it for years

only reboot fix it. not resetting the connection by holding the left side connection button

it could also be equalizer apo that i use to reduce the volume to a human level

all my stuff is latest version as always. windows 10.0.10130. driver 2.0.35 http://www.corsair.com/en-us/vengeance-2100-dolby-7-1-wireless-gaming-headset. equalizer apo 0.9.2 http://sourceforge.net/projects/equalizerapo/

>Is the Mic Muted?

no

>Have you tried the generic Microsoft drivers?

no. i should. what features do i lose?

i tried without the apo and so far it hasnt happened so it might be the stupid apo. but its hard to repro bc it's not as simple as after a sleep, it's many sleeps (during several days uptime) or whatever else triggers it

Mute the microphone by moving the microphgone boom up.

You will lose the Dolby Surround features. Note, this is only temporarily as it is used to determine if there may be something wrong with Corsair's driver. You can reinstall the Corsair drivers after testing the headset with Microsoft's generic audio driver.

Has the issue returned after removing EqualizerAPO?

not so far (except blitz brigade that had the buzz and then was silent when i relaunched it, but its probably just that app). it might be the apo. sux that i have to use it to avoid NIHL
