HX1000i & crashing, 12v line monitoring

Hi all,

This is a weird one, and I'm at a loss as to whats going on.

I have a HX1000i, powering a titan xp and coffee lake system.

Everything is fine, except in a single game: Destiny 2.

The reason I'm posting here is because it would appear to have some weird connection to the psu, in that, switching the software OCP from single to multi, or multi to single fixes it for a bit. I'd call it coincidence but its reproducible so easily that it's hard to look elsewhere.

I'm also (individually, not at the same time) using hwmonitor, hwinfo and icue. Now, icue shows a steady 12v line however hwmon / info show this fluctuate occasionally below 11.40. Is this right? I've no idea which I should be trusting.

Anyone got any idea what is happening?

While I can't comment on the issue with Destiny 2 (except to say that it's really odd), I can say that using multiple monitoring tools for the USB-based monitoring is likely to lead to spurious readings as the different tools can interfere with each other. That may be what you are seeing. I would check the see if you see the same thing when only using HWInfo by itself.

Certainly, a voltage drop that significant would be an issue.
