Memory upgrade - changing the BIOS Frequency?

Hi everyone,

 

I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to the internal workings of a PC - so relying on your advice.

 

I've recently upgraded my memory from 4x4 1333Mhz 16GB to 8x2 2400MHz 16GB.

I've looked in my PC's BIOS and can still set that the memory frequency is set to 1333MHz. Is it a good idea to increase this to 2400MHz, leave as it is or increase to somewhere in the middle?

 

Would really appreciate your input on this.

Use the XMP function, that sets memory speed timings and voltage(s). Your mainboard manual should mention this somewhere.
