buska103
Example of sleeving: http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l151/RideZiLightning/PB290798.jpg I understand that opening the Corsair PSU will void the warranty, but what if I was to sleeve OUTSIDE the psu? As in using heatshrink/zipties right outside the port opening of the motherboard/cpu power cables. Want to be sure before I start. My 7 year warranty is worth more than nice cables :o:
Yellowbeard
Which PSU? Sleeving of modular cables, no it will not void the warranty. Sleeving of hard wired non modular cables which requires any removal or modification of the cable, yes it will void it.
buska103
No removal. Not sure if you could call it modification since it's removable. I have a modular power supply. The HX750. As you know, the motherboard and cpu cables are not modular. Can I simple take off the old "sleeving", sleeve every cable individually by removing the 24 and 8 pin connectors (using tools meant to be used this way), and keep my warranty? Wired
As Yellowbeard stated, modifying the hardwired cables will void the warranty, even if the proper tools are used.
