knightofnee
Hello, this is my first time posting on this forum. I have an abit KV8 Pro motherboard that uses the new Via K8t800Pro chip. I have a problem with it using 2 of my 512MB OCZ premier pc3200 dimms at the same time.. It works fine with only 1 of the 512Mb dimms. I have tried a 512MB dimm by itself in both dimm slot 1 and 2, and it worked fine, so its not a bad dimm slot. I have tried bumping all the ram timings up as high as they would go and even tried underclocking the ram as low as it would go, and uping the ram voltage to 2.8 with no luck. :( I have tried Mem86 with both 512MB dimms installed and allowed it to do 8 passes, and it reports 0 errors. so, I guess it ether has a problem using 1 gig of OCZ Premier memory or using x2 512Mb of OCZ Premier memory. What models of Corsair will work with my motherboard running 1 Gb with no errors? Also, I only have 2 dimm slots so dimm slot 1+2 is the only way I can config it.
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted May 19, 2004 Corsair Employee Share Posted May 19, 2004 I think you are in the wrong forum. Please contact the manufacturer of your memory. This forum is for Corsair Memory!

Wired
Umm... Ram Guy, that's why I highlighted the Corsair part in RED, I read it like that as well initially :) TwinX1024-3200LL is pretty sweet IMHO :)
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted May 19, 2004 Corsair Employee Share Posted May 19, 2004 I would suggest Twinx1024-3200LL, and use slots 1-3 and set the Dim Voltage to 2.7 Volts and you should be good to go!

Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted May 20, 2004 Corsair Employee Share Posted May 20, 2004 Then only one module at DDR400 might be used and you may have to run at DDR333 with 2.
