Hi Warsoul

Your memory run just under the 2000MHz.

You sould get 12 Go de mémoire totale de type DDR3 à 935.47 MHz, but it depend if CPU support OC.

Did you update motherboard bios? As it improve compatibility and stability of system. Do you use XMP profile to set memory speed, voltage and timing automatically?

Hope this help

Sincerly yours

My memory run at 533mhz ? or 1866mhz ? Because when i read in boot screen it show my ddr at 1866mhz. But in windows and cpu-z it show has 533mhz/935.47mhz

This is my temporary bios setup because i have an oc bios profile where i oc my i7 920 d0 to 3.987 mhz and my ddr3 at 1533mhz. But my asus p6t ws pro can't be set on the right voltage due to is 0.02 increment instead of 0.01 increment.

I think i have the last bios for it.

P6T WS Pro formal released BIOS version 1205

976.4 KBytes update 2011/02/17

http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P6T_WS_Professional/#support_Download_30

I need to set it manually because xmp is ****ed up. Corsair sent me that incompatible memory because my 1866mhz dominator was out of stock and i wont be downgraded to 1600mhz because of this. Do you have a bios timing and voltage for an p6t ws pro for this ddr3 ? Where i can hit a stable 1866mhz ?

Ps: i wont oc my ddr3 because i need the life-time warranty on them. But i can downgrade them to find a stable setup.

CMT12GX3M3A2000C9 sould run stable on asus p6t ws pro and it won't affect life-time warranty. As memory kit CMT12GX3M3A2000C9 is test at 2000MHz at a latancy ove 9-8-9-24 with a voltage ove 1.65.

http://www.corsair.com/fr/memory-by-product-family/dominator/cmt12gx3m3a2000c9.html. If it is not stable the only issue is your CPU that is the cheaper i7 13666 soket CPU and it have a internal controller for DDR3 1033MHz adn 1600MHz

I don't think so because my last ddr3 kit was an dominator 8-8-8-24 at 1866mhz and it worked really fine before he got some errors 1 years laters. Now i have the same qui but at 2000mhz and i can't reach that ? Not normal

I hate to say this , but it is normal for an 720. Most of them struggle to hit 1866mhz to begin with . I have never been able to get above 1900mhz with mine even at stock CPU clocks. So it indeed looks as if you have hit the max memory overclock for your CPU.

The problem ; my bios dont let me set the 1.65v . 1.64v or 1.66v.

This is irrellevant! 1.64 or 1.66v will be just fine. Just because you don't have the 1.65v option isn't going to affect stability at all.; I'm really surprised a BIOS update didn't change this. It did on my P6X58D-Premium board.

WTF are you talking about? Cheaper CPU has nothing to do with it! Even your extreme chip only has a 1066/1333mhz memory controller. And even then your "extreme" chip has no better overclocking abilities than the 720. Just a higher base clock speed

My i7 920 D zero worked really well with my dominator 1866mhz kit. Why now i can't reach the same speed with better components ?

The components may be slightly better but your still using the same CPU and 1866mhz is about the limit of the 720's memory controller. It's not the memory that is holding you back! It's the CPU itself!

Stange if i7 980x is not bether then i7 920, Why i can run my Corsair Dominator GT CMT6GX3M3A2000C8 at full speed and i7 920 could not get mor then 1900MHz? Enven with 2 kit of Corsair Dominator GT CMT6GX3M3A2000C8 it stil run at 1992MHz stable . it not stable at 2000MHz with 2 kits of Corsair Dominator GT CMT6GX3M3A2000C8, but i just set CPU from 143MHz to 141MHz and all run rock solid.

RAM GUY No two CPU's will over clock the same and the I7 9XX series CPU are rated at DDR1066 form memory so anything about DDR1600 is great for that CPU.

They both have the same basic memory controller. Apart from two more cores and a higher base clock speed there isn't much difference.
