wuyanxu
i cannot find any cheap i5 RAM at all, currently they are all more than £75 (for 1600Mhz) even though i7 tri-channel are at similar price. TW3X4G1600C9D is said to have 1.5v voltage, so it's well below i5's 1.65v max voltage. i just want to ask is it the correct setting? (can't find the datasheet for it) even better, could anyone post its SPD info? especially what timing and voltage for 1600Mhz. thanks :)
Wired
It's 1.8v, not 1.5v.
wuyanxu
okay, what are its SPD information? worse comes to worst it'll just use it at 1600Mhz cas10 1.65v.
wuyanxu
got the RAM and been testing it last night. 8GB of 1600Mhz 9-9-9-24 1.6v no problem for 3 runs of Memtest 86+.
hardcoreware
I have been using this ram for testing Lynnfield for a review at HCW. I have had no problems running it at 1333 (stock speed for the platform) at 1.5v with 7-7-7-20 timings. I will be overclocking with it later. Just felt that I should post this, for people looking for well-priced 1333 and 1600 dual channel kits - they are still somewhat hard to come by, but this is one of them.
