  1. Last month I decided to change out my H150I Elite Capellix AIO with Corsair QL 120 RGB fans attached to the cooler. The AIO has served me well for many years. I decided to go with iCUE Link H150i LCD 360mm AIO along with the Corsair iCUE Link QX 120 fans starter pack (3 fans). I was looking forward to the iCue Link single cable installation. The first thing I noticed was the increased noise of the AIO pump compared to my older H150i Elite Capellix. My PC is placed to the right of my monitor and is approx. 3 feet away from and the AIO pump is at ear level. If I place the AIO pump in quiet mode and place the fans at 50% or greater speed in iCue software I can mask the AIO pump noise. Forget placing the AIO in the balanced or extreme settings as your video shows / sounds the sound level increases and so does the tone gets higher. I rather listen to the louder sound of the fans over the sound and tone of the AIO pump even in quiet mode. I sent Corsair customer support a video of the sound of the AIO pump and they informed me it was normal. Since I purchase my AIO from Amazon, I purchased another one (same model) and it produced the same sound. Corsair customer support advised me to return the AIO if I could not live the sound of the AIO pump. I was also dealing with a reduced brightness issue message in the iCUE software. Corsair is presently working on that issue as others have reported the issue after a firmware update that is associated with Link Hub. My solution was to return the iCUE Link AIO and fans I purchased and installed my old setup. Like you when I game the sound from the game masks the sound from the AIO pump but I also use my PC for work related tasks at home and it is very quiet in my office in my house. I own many Corsair PC related items, RAM , PC case, headset, PSU, and keyboard. The funny thing is, a YouTube reviewer did a review later last year with the same items I purchased. I posted a comment on his Youtube channel describing my AIO pump noise and he replied that his setup does not have any noise that you and I are experiencing.
  2. Purchased the iCue Link H150i LCD to replace and older H150i last Sunday. I am using a Corsair Obsidian Series 500D RGB SE case that sits to the right of my desk approximately 3 feet away from me. The pump for the AIO at the quiet setting is loud like others have reported. Forget placing the AIO pump on balanced or extreme setting. The sound level increases and so the noise is a higher pitch. Long time Corsair user. Using there RGB ram, AX1600i PSU, PC case (mentioned above), Keyboard (K100 RGB), and Virtuoso XT headset. The noise at the lowest setting (Quiet) is still irritating since it is quiet in my house. I am also using 3 QX 120 RGB fans. As we know Corsair products are not inexpensive. I know there is a work around by adjusting a file to lower the RPM of the AIO pump below 2000 RPM but I believe that should not be the answer.
  3. Changed out my Corsair iCue H150i Elite Capellix for the iCue Link H150i RGB cooler with LCD screen. Installed on Sunday and first thing I noticed was how loud the pump was compared to my Elite Capellix. When switching the pump settings (Quiet Balanced and Extreme) the sound gets louder with the Extreme setting being the loudest. I also installed 3 additional QX120 RBG fans (Triple fan starter kit) for a total of 6 fans (3 on the AIO rad) in my case. I connected 3 of the fans directly to the Link hub on one side and I connected the 3 fans from the radiator to the other side of the Link Hub. If I disconnect the 3 fans from the hub the message goes away and only have the 3 fans connected to cooler connected to the hub. Now on Tuesday two days after the install when I start my PC, I receive the following message in the iCUe software: " Brightness Reduced. The maximum brightness was reduced due to the iCUE Link system hub power limitation. Reduce the number of connected devices to apply higher brightness level. All software and firmware are up to date, I uninstalled and reinstalled the iCUE software and received the same message. I thought one single hub could control 14 fans. Since I received a second hub with the fan starter kit, I tried the second hub and received the same message. I am using a Corsair AX1600i PSU. Funny as I did not receive this message for the first two days and now on the third day the aforementioned message is displayed. I really do not want to use the second hub to control just three light and have to connect another power cable to my PSU, connect another cable from the hub to a USB header on my mother board, and the fan cable. My old sytem worked just fine with the Corsair QL 120 RGB fans (3 in the case and 3 on the CPU rad) I like not having all the extra wires. I already sent an email to Corsair and recieved a support ticket number for the pump noise and the message.
  4. Need some advice, I just finished building my PC. I kept the 3 LL120 fans attached to the front of the case. I installed the Corsair H115i RGB Platinum on inside top of the 500D RGB SE. The commander pro and the RGB fan LED hub are still in the stock location (inside front of the PC case. Here is my dilemma, I want to install a LL120 RGB fan on the inside rear of the case. I purchased the fan but the wires are not long enough to reach the commander pro / RGB fan LED hub in there stock location. A search appears there are no extension cables to be purchased to extend the reach. I can only think that I will have to move the commander pro / LED fan hub to a new location that is near the SSD trays. I tried prying the commander pro (it is attached firmly) from its current location but I feel that if I apply to much force I will break it. Any recommendations.
