Wolvenmoon
Board types:Asus k8v basic, soyo KT400 I recently RMAed a twinX2048-3200C2PT due to weird crashes and an anomaly on pin 85/176 of the stick of RAM. Upon receiving the RAM I ran fine for a bit then started having the same errors. Tonight I pulled it and tested it another system. The other system nearly caught on fire during memtest. Two sticks of the RAM showed visible damage on the same pins as the previous RMA after being immediately removed. They are much worse, completely blackened as opposed to off color. It took a few hours for this to happen. My best guess is that my asus motherboard did damage to these sticks of RAM, and the soyo motherboard didn't tolerate it as well. What other information do you guys need, and what should I do?
