  1. I like LL fans. I have 5 LL120 in white. My new case can take 140mm fans in all locations and I want to upgrade to LL140 in white but they don't make them? I looked around and there have been similar posts asking the same thing but that was 3-4 years ago. So I'm asking again in 2024. Official word would be nice too.
  2. I believe this is the case with the ASUS ROG X570 Crosshair VIII Hero. I'm fine without those particular lights because they don't add much. edit: it's the gawdy and bright onboard power button that can light a room. Also an option in the BIOS, but comically bright.
  3. I had switched it temporarily to disabled and at that point I think AC took over. I enabled it again and it didn't help, but I did surgically remove AC and the problem is fixed. I didn't know AC was an option in the bios and I didn't expect it to be so insidious. Later did I find there's a tool to easily remove it. Oh well. I appreciate the help.
  4. I'm attaching a list of apps I run at startup since nobody has commented. SyncbackSE iCUE EVGA Precision X1(fan/rgb software) L-Connect 3 (Lian Li fan/rgb software) FanControl v120 Powertoys and a bunch of gaming apps and drivers (steam, epic, origin, nvidia, xonar, logitech) At one point I had SignalRGB installed, but I didn't like it and uninstalled it. I have a internal USB 2.0 header HUB. My commander pro connects directly the MB. My hub connects directly to the MB. My Lian Li Controller connects to the hub. My corsair 1200i connects to the hub. My corsair H100i connects to the hub.
  5. When putting the computer to sleep it only obeys the "lighting effect" settings (software control). Method 1 of this Help page works, but not method 2. Method 1 requires manual control of the lights each time you sleep the computer. I realize that RAM isn't actually turning off in sleep so the fact it's on sort of makes sense, but I transferred this same RAM from another motherboard and never needed to do that before. Is there something I've overlooked in OS power settings or a bios setting? System specs: Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32GB (firmware v1.03.66) Windows 11 Pro (v21H2) (build 22000.795) iCUE software (v4.25.155) Ryzen 7 5800X ASUS ROG X570 Crosshair VIII Hero EVGA 3080FTW3 Ultra Corsair 1200i PSU
  6. Just to clarify: 2) Disable iCUE start with windows. Then reboot, launch, login to your apps. Then launch iCUE and test. If an app isn't started before iCUE and you experience problems make sure to try the process again including that app and test again. 3) Onboard USB splitters like this haven't been tested by me, so if you do please report your findings.
  7. I bought my motherboard in 2019 and it has the Asmedia USB controller and I experience flickering or stuck LED fan lights. I know I'm not alone so I'm posting my fix. 1) If you have more than one USB onboard controller check your manual and use the Asmedia alternative. That may fix it. If you only have Asmedia... 2) Reboot and load/login to everything you use. Steam, Epic, Drivers, Mouse software, etc. Then launch iCUE and test it out to see if it helps. (disable start with windows first) If it works you can repeat that process every time you reboot or use delay apps or even configure a batch file to do it for you. I use the manual way so far and the annoyance far outweighs the annoyance of the lights malfunctioning. I hope this helps. I've been dealing with this for a couple years now. I spent close to $200 on my lighting and it never behaved, until now! YMMV
  8. I'm having the same or similar issue in 2021. When gaming the lights flicker to different colors not part of the program. Once they flicker to the wrong color they don't go back until I restart icue. It's only while gaming. My windows is up to date and my firmware is 3.24. It's always done this to a small degree and it was annoying but it's gotten worse when I did some usb header swaps on the MB. I needed another internal header so I decided to use the one on the commander, something I avoided until now, and it's more pronounced. Any thoughts?
  9. If icue is set to run as admin it doesn't crash on resume, restart, or shutdown. If icue isn't run as admin it will crash on restart, shutdown. If icue is set to run as admin it won't run at startup. The crash says: "icue the instruction at 0x0000000068c80569 referenced memory at 0x0000000006ef2bf0" I'd like it to run at startup and not crash on restart or shutdown. edit: All motherboard drivers are up to date. Windows is up to date. icue is up to date at version 3.23.66
  10. Just following up. The tempered glass version arrived and you were correct, the tempered glass isn't smoked like the acrylic and can be swapped without changing anything on either case. It looks great! The colors are more vibrant, the black border really ties it all together, and it's noticeably clearer. So what I learned was the smoked acrylic looks nice too but if you have a lot of RGB stuff it tones it down a bit too much when you're going for vibrancy. To get your money's worth go with the tempered. If you don't use a lot of lighting gear, or any at all, going plastic and saving a little cash might be good. That's advice I'll remember for future purchases as well. Also to mention the acrylic version doesn't come with the top magnetic mesh filter that I was also able to swipe. Thanks for your help!
  11. Thanks for the info! My kids inherited my old 600T which is too big for what they need. I'll use it as an excuse to upgrade to the glass assuming I can just swap the panels. Actually that raises another question. Are the grommets the same for the acrylic and glass? That seems like a harder question to get an answer for. If I have to change chassis too for different grommets I'll likely change my mind because my watercooling and RGB is painstakingly managed and I won't go through that again.
  12. I have the acrylic window and it's slightly smoked grey. I was thinking I might want to get a tempered glass window instead if it's not smoked. Can anyone verify that the tempered is or is not smoked? If you have any insight on this any help is appreciated.
