0007.05 XR5 420mm Front Mount

The XR5 420mm fits easily in the front even with push/pull on the fans. You can match the front XR5 420mm with up to another XR5 420mm or up to an XR7 360mm in the top.

Some limitations

  1. You won't be able to put anything except fans in the side mount. That includes the XD7. The XD7 will physically fit but the ports for the radiator are blocked off - so you'd not be able to complete the loop.
  2. You won't be able to use the front HDD tray if you have the 420mm - though you could with a 280mm.

Hello,

Thank you for your comprehensive tutorial of this build. I am planning a build with the 7000x case and was wondering if you could inform me if the following configuration would work, based upon your experience:

1. XD7 installed on front;

2. XR5 360mm rads with push/pull on side and top of case

3. Will be water cooling gpu & cpu and possibly Z690 Formula VRM block.
