thewizard99
Hey guys and girls, currently running a H80i and a AX860I and just wondering if both are used do they have to be connected together, or just by the USB ports? As I plan on using the commander as well just for my fans and lights and my motherboard supports 3 of the sub connectors.
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted August 27, 2013 Corsair Employee Share Posted August 27, 2013 To update the firmware on the cooler or the PSU you will have to connect them to the on Board USB. However for normal operation you can connect the Cooler and I series PSU to the Link commander so it only uses one USB port.
thewizard99
Ah thought that was the case, as I won't be getting the commander for a while so have to use the ports for bow anyway
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted August 28, 2013 Corsair Employee Share Posted August 28, 2013 NP and if you run out of internal USB ports NZXT has an internal USB HUB that will give you 3 more internal ports and its not too expensive.
