Wezelkrozum
As the title says; this afternoon I turned on the headset and turned on my pc with Windows 7(64bit). First I thought my headset had to charge because I heard nothing. Then I realized there was a sound, a very quiet one! I turned up the volume to 100% in Windows 7, checked the corsair driver sound settings and found out that 100% of volume sounds like the 10% of the day before. 10 times lower than normal! That can't be right? What I tried so far: - Restarting my pc - Turn the headset off/on - Plug the usb-stick out and back in - Restarting the Human Interface Device Access service - Exit the Corsair Vengeance sound driver trough the tray-icon and back on Nothing worked, so I'm kinda desperate now. Do you guys have any idea what could be the problem? Here a screenshot of the perfect sound settings: http://i.imgur.com/Kcql12p.png Ps: The headset has worked perfect for the last 2 weeks. I have received this headset after the previous one was cracked on the sides after a month.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 26, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 26, 2013 Does the volume issue occur if you uninstall the software? Have you tested it on another machine?
Wezelkrozum
An uninstall is a workaround that works.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 26, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 26, 2013 Try to re-install it again now and see if the volume issue gets resolved.
Wezelkrozum
Ah yes it works again. But it's weird an re-install is required to fix it. A typical ICT solution :P
Cyant
Don't worry they might fix it with the new drivers... They will:"Unlock the thread when they are released" ;) Seriously I run them without the driver, the positional audio in games is aweful with the driver. The default USB audio from microsoft is better.
