GamerGirlAlice
Ok I can't find it specifically mentioned anywhere. Should I have top fans as intake or exhaust on a x79 build with h100 in a 800d?
CyBorg
Ok I can't find it specifically mentioned anywhere. Should I have top fans as intake or exhaust on a x79 build with h100 in a 800d? I have an 800D and a Z77 board but i would recommend anyone who uses the 800D with an H100 us it as an intake otherwise you will have negative air pressure in your case and it will pull in dust. Also you should get a dust filter for the top of the case if you use it as an intake. This is the one I use http://www.frozencpu.com/products/11724/ffi-52/DEMCiflex_Triple_120mm_Magnetic_Dust_Fan_Filter_-_Triple_Radiator_or_Fans_-_Steel_Aluminum_Plastic_Chassis.html
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted November 30, 2012 Corsair Employee Share Posted November 30, 2012 I agree with CyBorg. There's simply not enough intake fans for 800D. H100 fans are very powerful fans, they will suck out all air in the case in no time. Better to have them as intake.
