It seems to sharply ramp up and down as if the H80 fan controller can't adjust fast enough.
Toasted
Are the fan speeds changing? You can notice it by hearing the fans, They go louder. The fan controller is also based on the Coolant Temp, Not CPU. babdi
Erratic CPU temp may be due to improper seating of cooler.
HOODedAssault
Use realtemp. That program is likely not reading it right. 16°C minimum is impossible. Well unless ur in 10°C ambient. Plus your running Intel burn test on standard which is quick short runs. Some runs won't load the CPU as much as other. Run it at least 50% ram usage and ur results will be much more consistent. rexbinary
Thanks HOODedAssault. Yeah IntelBurnTest drops under 100% load between cycles causing the zig-zag graph. I tried Prime95, and while it's 100% load is surely not near as tough as IntelBurnTest, it does keep a steady load on the CPU. Thanks for turning me on to Real Temp as well! Just for the record, the H80 let me overclock a i5-3570K to 4.2GHz. I previously had an air cooler that didn't come close to that.
