Lazze
Hello there. A couple of months ago, I bought the GS600 PSU for my gaming pc. I got it because it was advertised to be quiet, and the prize was not too high either. The unit works really well, but I do have a problem with it. It is very loud, much louder than any other part in my PC. Is this a common problem with this specific model? If yes, I don't think it should be advertised as quiet, because it's not. Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted February 16, 2012 Corsair Employee Share Posted February 16, 2012 Can you provide your system configuration? And have you tried to isolate the other fans in your case to make sure it is not some other fan?
Lazze
Can you provide your system configuration? And have you tried to isolate the other fans in your case to make sure it is not some other fan? Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-990XA-UD3 CPU: AMD Phenom II x6 1100T Grahpics Card: Nvidia Geforce GTX 570 Other than that, I have 2 hard drive, no optical drive and 2 case fans. I have isolated the noise to come from the power supply. I even tried taking it out of the case and starting it with the paperclip method, and even then it actually made noise, which seems weird. Lazze
Please use the link on the left and request an RMA and we can try and replace it. I have done that, but I have a question regarding the RMA process. Would it be possible to get my replacement delivered before I ship off my own unit? I would like to keep using my PC while the RMA is in process.
