Kenny84kenny
After successfully installed Windows 7 x64 in IDE mode the performance sucks. Boot time og logon is really fast but when I open My Computer, Control Panel and futher Windows lags in 15-20 secs. My motherboard is Asus P5K-E. Anyone with a clue what`s wrong? I think Force 3 128 GB is supported with latest BIOS update.
rodatam
It appears as the IDE mode is the problem... Can you please insert a image of the ATTO benchmark for your drive (you can find the link there <<< ) there are a few guides on the sticky posts for setting your drive as AHCI
Kenny84kenny
Yes I think IDE is the problem. I have tried to first switch to AHCI mode in BIOS and then installed Windows 7. In the disk partition step in the Windows 7 setup wizard I got the following message: "Windows cannot be installed on this disk. This computer's hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure that the disk's controller is enable in the computer's bios menu.". Installing Windows 7 in IDE mode is fine, but the performance is horrible. Everything lags. I have tried some registry hacks, and then changed to AHCI mode in BIOS. After that Windows cant`t boot. Get some bootloader error. I think not the ATTO bechmark will give me anything,
