Raptor5757
I just installed CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B onto my ASUS P8Z68-V Pro motherboard, and when I try to boot, DRAM LED (which signifies a problem with the RAM) lights up. I've tried sticking the sticks into different slots and only using one stick, but the LED stays lit up. Wondering if this is just some bad RAM or if there is something I'm doing wrong. Thanks. peanutz94
Clear your CMOS and try booting with just one stick in the first slot and see if it will allow you to post. If so go ahead and load setup defaults and enable XMP. Shut down and add your remaining sticks. If it will not post with any of the sticks then it has to be another issue. Since the memory is tested at the factory on a MB before it is packaged the odds of getting one stick are high enough. And to recieve a kit of all dead sticks is pretty much impossible.
